We want to ensure all of our clients are able to recover in a fast and effective way. Therabody's clinically-effective design is critical to the safety and recovery of your most valuable asset - your body.
Intermittent pneumatic compression is a form of mechanical massage that sequentially applies pressure to an area of the body from the feet towards the heart. By applying true negative gradient of pressure starting furthest from the heart, this system provides a greater boost in circulation, flushing out lactic acid and other waste products.
Pneumatic Compression Therapy is well researched and has proven benefits for providing relief and preventing more serious problems.
We chose RecoveryAir by Therabody because their system has adopted a unique true negative gradient of pressure. This means circulation travels up the limb from the feet towards the heart in 4 internal overlapping chambers. The spiralling overlap of these chambers safely maximises circulation compared to other designs that interrupt air flow and create potentially harmful peaks and valleys of pressure.
This system also allows us to set precise units of pressure to prevent dangerous over-constriction, as well as preventing the chambers from inflating past normal human blood pressure.
Reducing soreness and fatigue starts with circulation. Like a sponge, RecoveryAir’s precise pressure control and true negative gradient allow for a fuller, more complete cycle of compression and release. This flushes out metabolic waste more effectively, and allows fresh, oxygenated blood to return to the limb faster.
This system is intended for use by people in good health. This system is not recommended for people who have heart conditions, vascular problems, have a condition requiring the use of any medical device, or have any condition that may affect their normal well-being.
